Cremation Process Viewing

Thoughts On Christian Views of Cremation?
Protestants do not care whether or not a person is cremated after death.
However, I am in the process of converting to Greek Orthodoxy and do not fully understand something: the Church forbids and discourages cremation.
It is said that if an Orthodox Christian willingly has his/her body cremated, they may not receive a funeral in the Church and prayers for their afterlife.
Do you agree/disagree?

If you (an Orthodox Christian) can afford a proper burial, go for that. If you cannot, explain it to your Church before death and try to explain how finances are low.
That's the best way to go I think.
