How came the concept of cremation to human customs? by intuition or by intelligence?
Though there are wide variety in actual process of cremation in different cultures, we find one thing in common, the dead body must be cremated.How did the concept come?
I would imagine the fact that it probably made people sick to leave dead bodies laying around everywhere and after they made people sick and die from being left around, I would imagine that it probably seemed like a thing that would poison the ground that fed them too if they buried them? So the most "intelligent" thing to do would be to burn them because it was sanitary... Ashes make for better fertilizer than rotten corpses...
So my answer is going to be by trial and error and lots of dead and sick people and superstition being that you can't say intelligence because it would have actually been ignorance that led them to not know what to do either way...
