Paw Print Urn

We want to paw-print our cat so we can have the actual print when he dies. How can we paw-print him safely?
Our cat is dying of cancer and we want to "paw print" him so we can have the actual paw-print for use as artwork on a memorial urn or stone, or maybe as a tattoo when he dies.
We just want a flat paw-print, not a mould (like in clay etc.) of the paw.
We don't want to make him ill with the ink on his paw that he will lick off.
How can we paw-print him safely?
You should be able to use non-toxic finger paints. Pour a little bit into a shallow pan, dip your cat's paw into it, then make the imprint on paper. Afterwards, wipe the finger paint off of his paw with a damp cloth.
