There is nothing in the painting that is open form. With two-dimensional work an open form is just that; a form that is open, meaning it has no closure along the edge of planes. (there are plenty of ways to open and close forms with the basic design elements, by the way.)

Now your question maybe a simple one on the surface, but the fact that you chose an image of a highly reflective object leads to much larger questions of space and reality as it is depicted in 2-D art.
