Urn Trust

I need help with new parakeets, please help.?
I got two parakeets about two weeks ago.
Everytime i slowly try to stick my hand in the cage, i leave it there, to let them know i won't hurt them.
And, i slowly move it more towards them.
I know it takes time to urn their trust, but, what can i do to help them feel more secure?
Oh, & they don't fly away from me anymore, they just scoot to the very edge of they're bar.
I can touch them, and like, pet their bellys sometimes, but everytime i try to teach them to perch on my finger, they move away.
They're not babies.
I got them prom petsmart.
You might try hand feeding them their food several times a day. Usually hand-fed babies become bonded to people rather than other birds.
Edit: If you got them from a pet shop, they were probably not hand raised. Offering them their food from your hand is a retraining method I've used with success with many birds. The hand is connected to gentle feeding and thus helps build a bond of gentle safety. Also, offer your hand palm up not a pointed index finger.
